Finantier has been selected as the first Southeast Asia Open Finance platform to join the inaugural Mastercard Start Path Open Banking class.
Start Path Open Banking is a selective three-month program that engages open banking startups on their path to scale, uncovers unique opportunities to co-innovate and powers experiences that enable consumer choice. As part of the program, Finantier will leverage Mastercard’s open banking expertise and market insights and connect with Mastercard’s ecosystem of banks, merchants, partners and digital players across the globe to deliver and scale open banking solutions.
As a rapidly growing Open Finance platform for Southeast Asia, Finantier solves real-world pain points for the digital economy. Finantier’s suite of Open Finance products such as Account Aggregation, Verification, Credit Scoring and Payments Initiation are purpose-built for the needs of Southeast Asia’s customers and businesses. As Finantier continues to drive financial innovation and expand into new markets, Finantier will benefit from Start Path Open Banking’s resources, expertise and tools.
“Finantier is honored to join the inaugural Mastercard Start Path Open Banking class alongside four leading peers from around the globe. Our participation is a testament to the importance of Open Finance in Southeast Asia and its pivotal role as a catalyst for financial inclusion. With support from Mastercard, Finantier will keep pushing forward the Open Finance agenda through delivery of innovative, market-driven solutions,” said Diego L. Rojas, co-founder and CEO of Finantier.
“We’re thrilled to have been chosen as the first Open Finance company in Southeast Asia to join Mastercard’s Start Path program. Mastercard and Finantier share a similar vision for the potential of Open Finance to accelerate digital innovation and financial inclusion, and we view this as the beginning of a very productive partnership,” said Caroline Chen, Head of Strategy and Operations at Finantier.
“Mastercard was an early advocate of open banking across the globe, and our market-leading technology platforms, data connectivity and infrastructure, combined with strong data privacy and security principles, provide a global infrastructure that can empower startups to innovate,” said Blake Rosenthal, Executive Vice President, Fintech & Segment Solutions at Mastercard. “As we continue to drive open banking innovation, we’re excited to collaborate with Finantier whose vision is aligned with ours and power more experiences that enable consumer choice.”
